I Pray In The Morning

I seek my God in the morning
when the day is new and still
                                                   inspiration comes with the sunrise
and I pray to do his will

I seek my God in the evening
                                                   wearied of labor and strife
and hope that I have been a blessing
                                                   to someone else's life

  7. Hi Susie, such a simple and beautiful poem. So heartfelt and motivating. I love early mornings too. One of the things that makes me sad about having the disorder that I do, is that it makes me hurt so badly in the mornings. Every morning. I used to be someone who was always up at 5:00 a.m. and had the house work all done by 9:00. Now it takes hours to get to sleep at night because of the pain and hours to get moving in the morning. Reading your poem is a good reminder always to pray and be thankful for the miracle of each new day. It is encouraging to know that beautiful things are always happening around us. Delisa )
