Child Of The King

                                                When I recall my yesterdays
the toil of storms and strife
I thank my Precious Savior above
                                                for giving me new life

There was a time of darkness
                                                I'd surely lost my way
my life was so empty and void
                                                I could not even pray

                                                Each morning when I awoke
                                                held nothing more than dread
any hope for happiness was gone
I wished that I was dead

                                                But then one single word---Forgiven
                                                was spoken from his throne
my heart was restored brand new
                                                he beckoned, Child Come Home

I died inside that he might live
                                                within this heart of mine
I chose the path to peace and love
of a far more lasting kind

I'm now walking in his victory
each day my heart does sing
I'm so honored and blessed to be
a child of Christ the King

  6. I loved this poem, Susie. I spend a lot of time alone and sometimes feel I can't pray but "I know whom I have believed and am persuaded He is able to keep me..."

  12. Hi Susie! I sure enjoyed this beautiful poem and quote. Isn't that so true that when you love God in your heart people see it in your eyes? I hope that you had a nice week. I am sorry that I haven't been writing or checking in as much as I usually do. The doctor has been trying me on some new medication and it has been making me feel pretty bad. But I am beginning to feel a bit better and I am not so nauseated or in quite so much pain. We are having some family over for dinner tonight so I am looking forward to doing a little baking this afternoon. We are having a beautiful day. There is a cold front that has moved down and it is only 50 degrees today. The cold air is very refreshing though and I have opened up all the windows to let the fresh breeze blow through. Have a good day ahead! With Love, Delisa :)
