As Only Autumn Can

                                                        What magic does appear
upon the branches of the trees
                                                         colors all aglow
                                                         with beautiful treasuries

                                                         The golden rod is blooming
                                                         as pretty as can be
                                                         it spreads a yellow blanket
                                                         for autunm's tapestry

                                                         The bright orange pumpkins
                                                          are waiting patiently
                                                          to be carved for Halloween
                                                          or a Thanksgiving pie maybe

A splash of this and that
                                                       in every nook and cran
                                                       a beautiful, painted picture
                                                       as only autumn can

The beauty of this one season
                                                      continues to grow and grow
                                                      it takes my breath away
                                                      with its magnificent show

  7. You've described fall so well! I think I like spring best; for some reason I feel sad in the fall.

  8. Hi Susie, love the poem! It really captures the feeling of this time of year. My neighbor has a wooden wagon put set out in front of her drive, filled with pumpkins and autumn flowers. It looks so pretty and happy. We have been very busy the last week. I don't know if I mentioned it to you before but we have guests coming in again and my mother-in-law is getting an of her own apartment. We are all so happy and excited. She has been with us for 12 years now and has always wanted to have a little place of her own. They built a beautiful senior complex in the next town over. She is only 67 and is still very active. We have been doing a lot of shopping and packing. Some friends are going to come and move the furniture over the weekend. I hope you have a wonderful evening tonight! With Love, Delisa :)
