Music Box Queen

                                                             She twirls and twirls
                                                             like a merry go around
                                                             in her frilly new dress
                                                             and shiny, gold crown

                                                             A fair maiden is she
                                                             with wavy, golden hair
                                                             she dances every dance
in her mind he is there

                                                             As the music plays
                                                             two hearts beat fast
                                                             and every tender moment
                                                             is a gift that'll last

                                                            She can see him clear
                                                            in that faraway land
                                                            in the midst of war
                                                            he dances so grand

                                                           Across the ocean wide
                                                           two spirits does grow
                                                           they dance the night away
                                                           in their ballroom show

                                                           When the dawn is nigh
                                                           with the sun's early gleam
                                                           she continues to dance
                                                           like a music box queen

  3. Susie, this is so sweet! It made me think of a musical jewelry box my mother had with a little lady twirling around. Her little granddaughters loved watching her.

  7. Hi Susie! I love, your poem so much! It is just wonderful and it made me smile from ear to ear. It reminded me of the little white jewelry box my Grandma and Grandpa gave me when I was a girl. When you opened it up, it played the Nutcracker and there was a little blond ballet dancer with a crown that twirled round and round! This is really a neat poem Susie, it sounds almost like a fairy tale!

We had a big rainstorm yesterday, with raging wind and a severe thunderstorm alert. It left everything a little wind blown but sparkling and refreshed I began a granny square afghan yesterday for our neighbor's little six year old girl. I found some ultra-sparkly pink yarn at Hobby Lobby, when I showed it to her, she squealed and just about popped, so I knew it was the right one! :) She and her little brother are such delightful children and they bring me a lot of joy.

They don't have a lot of modern toys and video games and their mother crochets and makes them dolls and stuffed animals. They are so appreciative of any little thing you give them. It really touches my heart. Have a great day tomorrow and I really appreciate all the support Susie and the sweet comments you have left on my new blog! With Love, Delisa :)
