It surpasses all understanding
This joy that abounds
Like a tiny seed I'll grow
Abundant love that surrounds
I'll capture your very heart
And all others in between
Look into my eyes mom
Can you see my eyes gleam
Can you feel my heart beat
As I lie upon your breast
God made it with love
To give you only the best
Every smile that I give
Is worth so much more
And each sleepless night
I promise I'll make up for
Hey dad, can you hear me now
I'm learning to talk
Be patient with me mom
I just want to run and walk
When I become a handful
Don't worry and be sad
I'm just little for now
Soon we'll go fishing dad
I want to explore and learn
There's so much waiting for me
Everything looks brand new
This big world is a big mystery
Sickness may come my way
Hug me tight in your arms
Tomorrow will be brighter
I promise laughs and charms
And please don't cry mom
When I start to school
You know that I love you
I'll never break that rule
Then when I grow older
I want to spread my wings
Like a small butterfly
I'll sail with my dreams
Clear across the sea
To that grown up land
Each day I'm one step closer
Enjoy me while you can
Hey look at me now
I hung the stars that shine
I hope I've made you proud
To the moon I'm going to climb
