The Gift Of Friendship
Friendship is a priceless gift
that can not be bought or sold
but its value is far greater than
a mountain of pure gold
For gold is cold and lifeless
it can neither see nor hear
and in the time of trouble
it is powerless to cheer
It has no ears to listen
no heart to understand
it can not bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask God for a gift
be thankful if he sends
not diamonds, pearls or riches
but the love of real true friends
Helen Steiner Rice
This is for all of you and each one is a real, true friend.. May God Bless, Susie

ReplyDeleteHi Susie! I'm so sorry to hear that you have had a bad cold. It sure has been going around here too, every family I know has someone who is sick. Fortunately we have managed to avoid it so far. I am hoping we can stay well until after our friends come to visit. They will arrive on the 31st. After that it will be okay! :) It was a beautiful day, warm but very windy. Now that my mother-in-law has moved into her apartment I am relocating my sewing room upstairs. It is really cozy and has two alcove windows that look out over our pond. I'll post some pictures once I get it all set up. I hope you feel better real soon. I love the poem too, loyal friends are more precious than any treasure! Love, Delisa :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you too, Susie. Lovely poem. Thank you for sharing it.
